IRIS Professional Solutions, a member of the Canon Group, European leader in Information Management and Hybrid Technology Solutions, is pleased to announce the launch of DBAC – Digital Business Automation Community to facilitate the use and development of IBM software solutions.
IRIS Professional Solutions constantly strives for new ways to improve the digital adoption of organisations, stimulates and empowers them to achieve the best results with IBM software. This is why IRIS wanted to provide a non-commercial platform where collaboration between organisations is facilitated, and efficient access to relevant information and specialists is provided.
IRIS is an IBM Platinum Business Partner with a certified Expert level for Digital Business Automation. Recognized on the market for years as an IBM specialist, it was only natural that IRIS should take the initiative in creating this User Group.
IRIS will facilitate the platform, in close collaboration with IBM, and will invite IBM software users to help determine the relevant content to be discussed. The aim of this User Group is to interact, access and exchange information and experiences with IBM’s Digital Business Automation software.
Participating in the User Group gives members access to:
- IBM roadmap information
- Information on how to boost change management & platform adoption/expansion
- Best practices shared by organisations using the software
- A strong combined voice for (feature) requests
- Insights in valuable product & service offerings for further improvements of their digital solutions.
The User Group is open to all organisations that use (components of) the Digital Business Automation platform, including but not limited to FileNet, Case Manager, Business Process Management, Datacap and RPA.
In order to respect the DBAC’s non-commercial character, Alain Grijseels, a neutral chairman, has been appointed to drive the agenda and the content of these User Group meetings.
Alain Grijseels comments:
“It was with great honour that I accepted the title of Chairman of DBAC when IBM and IRIS asked me to do so. Breathing new life into the User Group, bringing together experienced users, exchanging skills, experience and knowledge on a regular basis are the challenges to be met. It is also my role to ensure that there is no commercial use of this User Group so that exchanges can take place with confidence. The User Group also provides an ideal platform for reporting potential problems or suggestions for improvement to IBM. By bringing DBA experts around the same table, we should all benefit from each other’s experience and see implementation efforts greatly reduced.”
The kick off meeting of the User Group took place on June 20th, 2019 in Brussels. On October 17th 2019 a second meeting will take place.
Rick Gruijters, Director Information Management Solutions at IRIS Professional Solutions, introduced the User Group concept, the platform and the branding to the audience. He is summarizing the interest of such a User Group:
“Where our software solutions enhance collaboration, increase efficiency and boost time to market, we felt we could create similar benefits by creating a community for DBA users. Where the adoption of the platform is growing rapidly, organisations now have the additional benefit of learning from each other, being on top of new developments and having the option to form one voice towards IBM and IRIS. We are proud to facilitate this initiative.”
Gregoire Markesis, Partner Ecosystem Lead for IBM, adds:
“IRIS is a long-standing IBM Platinum Business Partner, the highest partnership level with IBM. Our collaboration covers many different domains: from infrastructure to software and services. A few years ago, IRIS recognized that Digital Business Automation is a sizeable market opportunity and decided to become a prominent player in this area. Indeed, the subject resonates with many decision makers and companies as it meets some of their most pressing modernization needs. Today’s initiative to set up the Digital Business Automation Community gives existing and would-be end-user clients a platform to get to know each other, share information, learn about best practices and potential pitfalls, and discover the art of the possible. We believe that the Community has the potential to deliver great value to members and thank IRIS for bringing it to life.”
IRIS Professional Solutions will manage the registration of members and actual organization of User Group meetings.
